Live-in/out Family Assistant

Our client, with a residence in Hampstead, is seeking a Family Assistant to join their small team of household staff.

This position is open to both live-in or live-out candidates.

This is a down to earth, informal household – there are Housekeepers, a PA and House Manager already in situ, this role is to offer assistance in all areas of running a busy family home – directly supporting the House Manager.

Duties include:

  • School runs
  • Assistance with homework
  • Activities with the children (2 girls aged 7 and 9, and a boy who boards but is home every other weekend, age 13)
  • Cooking simple family meals when the Chef is off
  • Light PA duties – including online ordering, appointment bookings, diary updates
  • Family laundry and ironing
  • Responding to the ad hoc requests of the principals as needed

    • Candidate requirements:

  • Experience working within private households
  • Willingness to become part of family life, happy to help out as/where needed
  • Able to travel to the family’s residence in Norfolk during half terms – this is split 50/50 with the House Manager – no travel during Christmas/Easter/Summer holidays
  • Confident driver with a full clean UK driving licence

    • Working days: Sunday to Thursday.

    Working hours: Monday to Thursday will be AM or PM shifts (7am – 2pm or 1:30pm – 8:30pm), Sundays will be a full day, 8am – 8pm.

    Accommodation if live-in: Single bedroom with ensuite shower room, access to kitchenette.

    Salary: starting from £45,000 gross per annum.
