Current Opportunities:

  • AM/Mornings Class 1 Driver – Basic salary is £ 38, pa, based on 48 hours per week. Hours of work are Monday – Friday, from 04:00hrs – 14:00hrs.
  • PM/Evenings Class 1 Driver – Basic salary is £42,pa, (includes shift allowance of £17.50 per shift for any shifts starting between 12:00hrs and 02:00hrs*), based on 48 hours per week . Hours of work are Monday – Friday, from 16:00hrs – 02:00hrs.

    • The position of Class 1 Driver involves:

  • Delivering to retail stores on curtain side and box trailers on single and double deck trailers.
  • Collecting multiple containers from port for delivery to distribution centre.
  • Planning route on a day to day basis.
  • Complete daily vehicle checks on your company phone.
  • Keeping in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and managing our customers’ expectations.
  • Attending regular training sessions.

    • Essential skills required for Class 1 Driver:

  • Must have a UK Class 1 (CE) Driving Licence.
  • Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
  • Experience of delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous.
  • Be passionate about providing excellent customer service.
  • Working to deadlines.
  • Confident, polite and a team player.
  • Good geographical knowledge.
  • Due to the nature of the role applicants must be fit, flexible, hardworking and self-motivated.
