Warehouse Supervisor

We are searching for a Warehouse Supervisor at our HADDENHAM (GB01) facility.

Main mission of the role

MANAGE STORES

Prioritise, organise, and assist with the picking/packing of connectors and accessories to ensure all orders are picked, and correctly labelled.

Prioritise, organise, and assist where necessary the cutting and winding of cable, cable assemblies/cable testing process to ensure all orders are ready for packing on time and correctly labelled.

Organise a schedule for the manufacturing of jumper cables to ensure that we can fulfil orders.

Ensure that all orders are packed correctly as per packaging spec.

Ensure all pick lists are received by the warehouse from CST by checking and updating “pick list” list.

Ensure that completed pick lists of internal order sheets for cable are processed through Cable Solution in SAP and added to the delivery note.

Organise and booking the transportation of orders by carriers, ensuring that all necessary paperwork is present ( delivery note / export docs etc.).

Ensure the Post Goods Issue process is completed daily on SAP.

Monitor delivery status, in case of any failures.

To cover for absences of staff in all other warehouse processes Cable Winding, Cable assembly etc when required.
STOCK

Manage and update stock between different storage locations / warehouses on SAP and process the stock movement.

Ensuring housekeeping of all short cable lengths in SAP is carried out.

Organise & report stock counts as needed for the annual stocktake or as required.

GOODS RECEIVED & RETURNS

Check goods received against delivery / return notes. Advise purchasing of any discrepancies.

Ensure all goods received / returned are booked in on SAP and enter storage locations in the timeframe agreed.

Booking collections from suppliers or customers where necessary.

PACKAGING

Review suppliers regularly to ensure prices are competitive.


SUPPORT OF OTHER DEPARTMENTS

Customer Complaints - follow up actions required for pick/pack or
delivery issues, obtaining PODs when requested.


Provide estimated packed weights & dimensions as requested.



Communication with all other departments to ensure seamless operations.



HEALTH AND SAFETY


Ensure that the correct protective footwear, clothing and eyewear is worn by staff & visitors.



Ensure that warehouse staff are trained and competent before using any warehouse equipment.



Ensure that warehouse staff follow the Company Rules and Guidelines.


Arrange the maintenance & service of Warehouse equipment.

Ensure daily checks regarding forklift, weekly equipment inspections and end of day checks are carried out.


PURCHASE ORDERING

Order warehouse consumables & packaging as and when required.

Approve relevant Invoices in a timely manner.

Maintain adequate stock of empty drums to ensure orders can be fulfilled.

Review carriers performance and schedule of rates to ensure service levels are acceptable and prices are competitive.


PERSONNEL

Manage and report personnel problems ( grievances, work schedules, labour shortages, absenteeism etc.)

Initial performance evaluation of warehouse operatives.


GENERAL

Maintain a clean and tidy warehouse at all times.

Any other duties that may be required.

To carry out your duties in accordance with the Company’s processes.

Skills Required

•Familiar with warehouse incoming, stock in, material issue andaccount, more than one year of warehouse keeper experience is preferred

•Familiar with office software
•Familiar with ERP software, SAP is preferred
•Work steadfastly, carefully, has the sense of responsibility, has independentoperating ability
•Forklift driver certification is preferred
