Associate Practitioner - Orthopaedics

Andover, England, gb

Job overview

We are looking for experienced midwives who are passionate about community birth to join our ‘Blossom & Bloom’ team, who provide Continuity of Care for women planning a birth within the community setting.

If providing true woman centred, autonomous care that makes significant differences to the lives of women and their families is what inspires you as a midwife, then this role is perfect for you.

You will be providing a service that covers a large geographical area which includes Basingstoke, Andover, Winchester & Eastleigh, and surrounding areas supporting women in their choice of birthplace.

Main duties of the job

In line with Better Births our Blossom & Bloom case loading midwives follow a woman’s personal journey from booking through to discharge from midwifery led care, working alongside our multi-disciplinary team to provide individualised care for the women in their case load.

You will either be NIPE trained or willing to train in NIPE’s and have a shared interest with your team in delivering informed and up to date antenatal education sessions with your clients. There is a requirement to participate in working in an on-call model of care to facilitate community birth over a 24-hour period.

Working for our organisation

You will be a passionate and woman centred midwife with either experience in case loading midwifery or a desire for your career to include continuity for women and their families. Someone who is pro-active, can organise their own workload, be flexible and adaptable with excellent team working skills.

You will be a car driver and have a flexible approach to work within your team to provide overnight on call shifts.

In return we can offer you an exciting opportunity to work with dedicated teams in a supportive environment, flexible hours, a buddy system, continued development, training, and inter-professional working.

Sounds fantastic doesn’t it? So now that we have found you, we would really like to talk to you. For an informal conversation, what to expect and a day in the life of a Case loading Midwife please email Vikki Pragnell, Professional Midwifery Workforce Lead and she will be able to put you in touch with one of the Case loading midwives.
