Class 2 HGV Driver: Permanent Role

Job Description:

Driver Hire Gatwick have been appointed for a reputable new client who is seeking an experienced Class 2 HGV Driver in Crawley. This role offers a temp-to-perm transition and is ideal for someone looking for stable, long-term employment. Starting immediately you will be put forward to a 2 stage interview between us and the client. The ideal candidate will have to be available immediately and HAVE 5 YEARS REFRENCE READY. Due to the fact that this client operates to and from Gatwick Airport .

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform vehicle checks at the start of each shift and report any defects or damage.
  • Ensure vehicle is checked, sealed, and refrigeration maintained for food safety before departure.
  • Load and unload catering safely, promptly, and hand over to crew with proper documentation.

    • Requirements:

  • Valid Class 2 HGV License.
  • Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to start work at 03:00 AM – 13:30PM with a 5 on and 3 off.
  • Physically fit for lifting and shifting duties.
