Internal Support Engineer

Up to £33,000 + 5% Annual Bonus and Benefits

Reporting to – Internal Support Manager

We are now hiring an Internal Support Engineer to Edenred PayTech, to specifically service our brand new London, Paddington offices.

 Due to significant growth in 2023, we now need to scale our IT Support functionality to support the London office, but also service the wider business, working alongside an internal support team of 4, and a wider team of 7.

Working from a ticket system (Jira), you will provide 2nd line support either remotely using emails or Teams, or in-person when on-site.

What you will be doing:

  • Second-line support – remotely by email, Teams, and in person – using the Jira ticketing system 
  • Taking ownership of an issue up to the point of resolution or escalation 
  • Act as an escalation point for other engineers 
  • Installation, Updating and troubleshooting Windows Server 2008 - 2019 
  • Configure and deploy staff laptops 
  • Responsible for continually updating Jira job notes and confluence support documentation 
  • Following helpdesk procedures and policies 
  • Ordering, recording, configuring, and distributing peripherals 
  • Ensuring that the Service Level Agreements (SLA) are always adhered to 
  • Remaining up to date with the latest technologies and platforms 
  • Other duties may include disposal of old equipment and administration of various supplier portals.
  • Assist with the auditing of software and hardware, as well as helping with Company related IT projects 
     
  • What we want from you:

  • 3 - 5 years’ experience working in IT Support role 
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2008 – 2019 Installation, Updating & Troubleshooting skills 
  • Server administration (for example: Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and Group Policy) 
  • VMware vSphere (or other Virtualisation Experience) 
  • Microsoft Windows 10 – General knowledge, Installation & Troubleshooting skills 
  • Hands-on Windows desktop support building PCs and fixing operating system/driver/software issues. 
  • Knowledge of all recent versions of Microsoft Office including 365 and Microsoft Teams 
  • Knowledge of Network / Internet connectivity 
  • Knowledge of Antivirus Software 
  • Ability to work independently and be an integral part of the team 
  • Desirable:

  • Office 365 and Exchange administration. 
  • Kaspersky Antivirus Software 
  • Jira / Confluence 
  • SCCM
  • Remote Desktop Services (RDS) 
  • PowerShell Scripting 
  • Linux Exposure
