Our client is currently recruiting for a Dustcart Driver/Loader to join their team on an ongoing LONG TERM basis in the Brentwood area!

As a Refuse and Recycling Driver you will be required to successfully lead a small team of refuse loaders to collect waste and recycling from residential and commercial properties. Work is to be completed efficiently and you must ensure the daily rounds are completed.

As a loader you will be required to prep the collection of the waste and load the Bin Lorry as and when required. Due to this, the ideal candidate will be physically fit as the role will involve lots of walking, vehicle loading, heavy lifting of sacks and pushing/pulling of loaded wheeled bins/containers (weighing upwards of 450kgs) in all weather conditions.

This is an exciting and incredibly important opportunity which will offer work within the council and mean you will achieve their vision of keeping our streets clean!

To be considered you must hold a Class 2 licence and current CPC and Digi cards.

Role Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Dustcart Driver
  • Attention to detail and care – you must be able to demonstrate the ability to reverse and manoeuvre in tricky areas with precision and care
  • Complete daily rounds as efficiently and effectively as possible
  • Complete daily vehicle checks in line with our client’s procedures and H&S requirements

    • Working hours:

    Monday to Thursday – 07:30 – 15:30 / Friday 07:30 – 15:00 (37 hours per week)

    (Guaranteed 7.5 hours Monday – Thursday, 7 hours Friday)

    Basic Hourly Rate

    £14.50

    £16.25 – this rate includes 12.07% holiday pay
