Hours: 07:00 - 16:00 Friday 07:00 - Early Finish
Pay: £11.44 p/hr
Contract: Temp - Perm

Pertemps are currently recruiting for a Despatch Operative based in Stourport. This role is Temporary to Permanent and offers the potential to progress within the company. As a key member of the Despatch Team you will support your colleagues in Packing of goods, loading vehicles and any other tasks required. A valid, in date Forklift License is required for this role.

The Duties of a Despatch Operative:

  • Manual handling including packing of parts
  • Checking parts & packing parcels
  • Greeting drivers and ensuring correct paperwork is signed
  • General data input (e.g packing lists)
  • Load and unload vehicles using the Forklift
  • Assistance in working for other departments when necessary
  • Completion of despatch documentation when required
  • Operation of various equipment as required, Chop saw, nail gun, banding machines

    • The Requirements of a Despatch Operative:
  • Valid In Date Forklift Licence
  • Computer literate
  • Must be punctual with great time management
  • Good communicator, English reading/writing skills
  • Team player with experience of working within a factory setting
  • Physically demanding role, must be ok with heavy lifting
  • Ensuring that housekeeping of work area is maintained
  • Must follow Health and Safety regulations
