7.5T Driver

Driver Hire Stockport are looking for a 7.5 tonne driver to work for our client based in the Stockport area. Our client is an Italian wholesaler and are a family run business that has been supplying Italian restaurants across North West England for thirty years. Our client is looking for the driver to work Monday to Friday (7am starts) and be flexible with the hours they can work as the hours will change depending on runs etc.. (usually between 8 -10 hours a day) The job itself does require someone who can manual handle as there could be heavy lifting due to the nature of the goods. There will be 15-20 drops a day with a mixture of caged goods and items that require carrying off, some days you maybe assisted with a second man. Please note that this is a temp to perm position so once 65 shifts are completed with ourselves you will go full time with the client. 

Duties of this HGV Class 7.5T Driver will include:

  • Driving HGV 7.5T vehicle responsibly and safely, obeying all traffic laws
  • Carrying out required daily vehicle checks to ensure procedural compliance.
  • Maintaining regular contact with Branch Managers on daily progress
  • Completing paperwork accurately as instructed

    • Our HGV 7.5T Driver must have:

  • Will need a valid 7.5 tonne licence (Cat C1)
  • Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
  • No DD’s, DR’s, IN’s, TT’s
  • Must have 6 months relevant driving experience.
  • Full UK Driving licence.
  • Able to work to tight deadlines.
    • PAY RATES-  £12.50ph and £16.66ph overtime (paid after 8 hours)- Paid weekly via PAYE Once 65 shifts are completed and you go full time with the client you will receive £14.00ph and will also be entitled to 20 days holidays plus banks We are looking for someone to start ASAP, so please contact the office on (Monday to Friday 8am-5pm) OR click ‘APPLY’ below.
