Berry Recruitment Truro are seeking a Production Engineer, to join a growing sub-contracting engineering company in the Bodmin area. We are looking to recruit a Production Engineer who provides an effective production engineering service from provision of customer quotation through to determination of effective and efficient manufacturing methods.
Main duties and responsibilities:
To assess customer drawings, determining the feasibility of manufacture, suitable manufacturing routes and availability of materials.
To discuss and resolve manufacturing issues with production staff, ensuring that customer requirements are met.
To ensure that compliance with company quality procedures (ISO 9001:20156).
To investigate NCRs, conducting root cause analysis and implementing recommending solutions in consultation with production and quality staff.
To prepare profile and pre-machining drawings using AutoCAD as needed.
Person specification – Essential Attributes:
Minimum of apprenticeship/NVQ3 in Engineering.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Sheet metal fabrication experience.
Excellent attention to detail.
Confident working alone.
Proficient use of AutoCAD.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Person specification – Desirable attributes:
1-2 years experience in similar role.
Experience of working within ISO 9001 quality system.
Knowledge and experience of weld procedures and specifications.
Valid driver’s license.
Experience of SolidWorks.
The role is 39hrs per week, and the benefits include some of the following:
