Class 2 Driver

The Role:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for experienced Class 2 Drivers to join the team based in Bradford. As an LGV2 Driver, you will be able to contribute to the Distribution Objectives and be responsible for the delivery of products.

Ideal Experiences / Qualifications / Capabilities:

Key Accountabilities:

  • Collecting assembled products and loading vehicles safely, and in line with company procedures.
  • Complying with all legislative duties, including tachographs, Working Time Directive, pre-use inspections and defect reporting, load safety and license requirements.
  • Ensuring goods and vehicles are quality checked and paperwork is complete and up to date.
  • Ensuring products are delivered to customers, safely and in good quality.
  • Collect equipment and completed POD’s from customers.
  • To carry out any other ad-hoc duties that may be required.
  • Follow Safe System of Work (Health and Safety).

    • This role requires the successful candidate to be able to start duties as early as 02:00am to ensure products arrive in store to meet customer demands.

    Essential:

    · LGV Cat C (HGV Class 2) Licence

    · Experience within FMCG or fast moving goods distribution environment with some driving experience.

    · Knowledge and experience of a short shelf life products and daily delivery operations.

    · Knowledge of products and customer requirements

    · Basic IT literacy skills

    · Excellent communication skills.

    · Experience of shift working
