2 x Yard Operatives

Driver Hire Reading are currently recruiting  2 x Yard Operatives  for our customer based in Reading. Our customer is the UK’s premier manufacturer, supplier and installer of temporary fencing.

The successful candidates will join as Yard Operative’s to at the Reading Depot. You will be a key link to the depot by being responsible for processing instructions received from the Depot Supervisor as requested, ensuring quality, safety, security, and minimising wastage.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Ensure all equipment loaded onto vehicles is correctly counted and have the appropriate documentation.
  • Ensure all work carried out at the depot and on site is done in the most efficient manner taking the company, customers and H & S regulations into consideration.
  • Ensure any defective plant and equipment are reported immediately.
  • Ensure all tasks and targets allocated by the depot manager and depot supervisor are completed accurately and within the timeframe allocated.

    • Please note that 99% off the work is conducted outdoors .

    The site is based on a farm with no direct public transport links so a driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this role.

    Job Type: Temp to perm

    Salary whilst on the Temp to Perm is £12.83 (inclusive of holiday pay)
