Location: Newbury - Berkshire


Salary: £11.44ph - £12.44ph


Are you an experienced Loading Bay Operator looking for a new opportunity? We are currently seeking a skilled individual to join our client's team in Newbury.


As a Loading Bay Operator, you will play a crucial role in the smooth and efficient operation of our client's warehouse. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring that they are safely and accurately transferred to the correct locations. You will be responsible for the organisation and coordination of shipments, ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed accurately and promptly.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Operate loading bay equipment and to safely load and unload goods from delivery vehicles.

  • Ensure that all goods are handled safely and securely, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.

  • Coordinate with the Warehouse Manager to prioritise loading and unloading tasks in line with delivery schedules.

  • Accurately complete all required paperwork, including delivery notes and stock control documentation.

  • Regularly inspect and maintain loading bay equipment, reporting any faults or issues to the maintenance team.

  • Communicate effectively with drivers and other warehouse team members to ensure smooth operations at all times.


    • Requirements:



  • Previous experience as a Loading Bay Operator or a similar role.

  • Valid forklift licence.

  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to loading bay operations.

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
