The Recruitment Co have an amazing opportunity to work for a growing company in North Somerset as a Recycling Educator. Role: Recycling Educator/Waste Management Consultant Hours: Monday to Friday 40 hours per week. Salary: £26,725 per annum. Location: Weston-Super-Mare Our client is a well established company in Weston-Super-Mare who works in partnership with North Somerset Council to provide recycling solutions across the area.We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Recycling Educator to be part of its Safety, Health, Environment and Quality team, responsible for delivering small to medium behavioural change projects, education, and awareness campaigns across the locality, and supporting the environmental development of operational services in the Company.

The role is based at our Weston super Mare Offices but will require frequent travel across the North Somerset area for which a business-use only vehicle will be provided. We would sponsor relevant qualifications to develop the successful individual’s future within the Company. The ideal Recycling Educator candidate will have:

  • A passion and enthusiasm about environmental issues
  • Demonstrable experience within an educational, environmental, or communications-based role; successfully influencing outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills inc. presentation delivery
  • Negotiation skills and the ability to persuade a wide range of audiences in changing behaviours to benefit both best value and environmental performance.
  • An aptitude for research, collection of data and action planning
  • Experience of producing and analysing reports specifically utilising MS Excel
  • A full driving licence and flexible working approach
