Driver Hire Edinburgh City are recruiting for an HGV Skip driver to start immediately for our client based in East Lothian.
This role is ongoing and offers the opportunity to be taken on permanently after a 12-week probationary period working with the client, through Driver Hire.
Duties will include:
Working within residential areas and building sites
Dealing with the collections and deliveries of skips to/ from customers
General housekeeping of the working area and lorry
Co-operating with management and co-workers
The successful applicant for this HGV Driver role will have:
Cat C Licence
CPC Card and valid Digital Tach Card
Less than 9 points on your licence (no DD, DR, CD or IN endorsements accepted due to insurance purposes)
Good customer service as this is a customer-facing role
Prior experience – desirable but not essential
Hours, pay and perks:
06:15 starts (around 50 hours week)
Monday – Friday: £13.50 PAYE
Overtime after 8hrs: £17.99 PAYE
Holiday accrual with every shift
Weekly Pay
8hr minimum guaranteed pay per day
