Owen Payne Recruitment are excited to be recruting for a Logistics Manager to work for our client based in the aldridge area. This will be working for a specialist manufacturer dedicated to the supply of special fasteners and hot forged bolting.

Our client is looking for somebody who wants to build their career or someone looking to take the next step in their career. This exciting position is permanent form day one!

Hours of Work:

  • Monday to Thursday – 08:30-17:30
  • Friday 08:00-16:00

    • Rate of Pay:

  • £32,000.00-£36,000.00 DOE

    • Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing both areas of Goods inwards/Goods outwards & Logistics Team.
  • Ability to completely understand all processes within both departments.
  • Meeting daily targets set from work to lists.
  • Driver management.
  • Vehicle management including forklift.
  • Manage inventory for department – part stocks and also working materials such as pallets, skirts, packing materials etc.
  • Proficient with all export and shipping requirements.
  • Ensure all products are packed to our procedures.
  • Raising of internal NCR’s as and when required.
  • Raising of purchase orders for NDT/Heat treatment/Plating.
  • Deal with all goods going out for NDT/Heat treatment/Plating and returning.
  • Expediting processes that aren’t arriving to scheduled times, discuss how to get back on track and communicate to appropriate departmental manager.
  • Raise company awareness if any potential bottlenecks are arriving so we can react, offer potential solutions.
  • Create relationships with suppliers to drive quality and costs.
  • Esnure that both departments adhere to health and safety protocols at all times.
  • Willing to undertake reasonable overtime as and when required.

    • Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in managing logistics, warehouse and managing a team 
  • Working within a specialist manufacturer dedicated to the supply of special fasteners and hot forged bolting is an advantage but not completely necessary.
