Location: Bishop Aukland & Darlington

Hourly Rate: £17.37 PAYE ADV (PAYE also available) with overtime at £21.71 PAYE ADV

We are currently looking for experienced Class 1 drivers to assist our client in the Darlington area, specifically Bishop Aukland. Typical start times can be between 5am and 10am so flexibility is key. This work also required an arranged induction which can be organised for promising candidates.

This is general haulage work with routes going nationwide. The number of drops can vary depending on planning and being the face of the company means customer service is also important. Customers include well known national brands as well as smaller family owned companies.

Our clients trucks have been a familiar sight on the roads for over 60 years and in order to ensure a high standard of service and consistency; want friendly, reliable and safe drivers to assist them through the week.

The fleet is kitted out with modern monitoring systems and health and safety is a must. You will be responsible for your vehicle walk around checks and reporting any faults to the Transport Team.

Shifts here are on a casual basis however for the right driver may become more frequent.

Requirements

  • Valid driver CPC qualification
  • Valid driver tachograph card
  • No More than 6 points / No Major Endorsements
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • at least 2 years CE experience
  • A relevant/recent HGV work reference
