Specification:
The suitable candidate should have the following qualifications & qualities:
Minimum City & Guilds Level 3
18th Edition
Relevant experience within the electrical contracting industry
Current CSCS / ECS card
Clean driving licence
Conversant with all aspects of electrical installations and have significant experience within Retail Industrial and Commercial sectors
Testing & Inspection to 2391-52 (or Equivalent)
A knowledge of BMS, Fire Alarm & Data installations preferred but not essential
Proven experience in electrical work, with a strong understanding of electrical systems and current regulations
Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role is preferred
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
Strong communication skills to interact with team members, clients, and management team
Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
Proficient in reading layouts drawings, schematics, and technical drawings
Familiarity with electrical test equipment and hand tools
Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and work in diverse environments
Valid full driver’s license
Description:
Responsibilities:
Lead a team of electricians and oversee their work to ensure high-quality installations, repairs, and maintenance
Collaborate with project managers and clients to understand project requirements and timelines
Plan and organise work schedules, assignments, and resources to meet project deadlines
Perform electrical installations, troubleshooting, and repairs as needed
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
Train and mentor apprentice’s, junior electricians, fostering skill development and a culture of continuous learning
Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and hours worked.
Manage inventory of materials and tools, and coordinate procurement as necessary
Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues efficiently
Carry out testing and inspecting/produce electrical certificates
