Senior Team Leader (Despatch)

Greenvale is one of the UK’s largest growers and packers of fresh potatoes, supplying some of the country’s largest retailers and processors from our two production facilities. As a Despatch Senior Team Leader, you will ensure the safe and efficient running of the Despatch and Palletiser areas, communicate with colleagues and other departments and ensure the execution of all orders for delivery/collection are completed in a timely manner.

  • Location: March
  • Reporting to: Shift Manager
  • Salary: £16.41 per hour
  • Hours of work: 4 on 4 off, Nights, 18:00-06:00hrs, 2x 15 minutes paid breaks and 1x 30 minutes unpaid break

    • Main Responsibilities:

  • Distributing workload to the Despatch team
  • Ensuring all control sheets and paperwork are completed correctly
  • Conducting regular spot checks
  • Conducting daily briefings
  • Ensuring all orders for delivery/collection are executed correctly
  • Ensuring all the Despatch team are trained and operating in accordance with site rules and procedures
  • Being actively involved in internal auditing processes
  • Leading and driving compliance
  • Ensuring haulier departure times are met
  • Ensuring the safe operation of machinery
