This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Class 1 HGV Hiab Driver looking for a varied position. Immediate Start available for the right applicant.
A minimum of 1 year Class 1 Hiab driving experience is essential for this role.
Our client is a leader in modular accommodation not only in the UK but around the world. They provide more buildings for hire than anyone else, including modular buildings for sale and rent. Our client also provides off-site permanent buildings for sale for temporary, semi-permanent and permanent use.
Full description of the role
As a Class 1 HGV Hiab Driver working for our client, you will play a crucial role in ensuring their fleet maintains full utilisation, transporting modular structures, temporary storage & accommodation units on one of their fleet of over 70 lorry loader cranes. You will also be required to work within their Tanker team servicing customer’s welfare.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 45 hours week.
Rate of Pay
£17.49 per hour or £19.60 per hour including holiday pay.
Skills / qualifications
• Valid Class 1 HGV Driving Licence, with DCPC and Hiab certification.
• Previous experience in operating a lorry loader crane from 31 tonne and above/up to 66 tonnes.
• Previous experience operating a wagon and drag combination.
• Previous tanker / waste management experience, desired, but not essential, as training will be provided.
• CPCS and/or ALLMI lorry loader operator qualification
• Flexible and willing to meet the needs of the business.
• Able to work in a team building positive relationships with colleagues and external providers.
• Be passionate advocate of absolute safety.
• Be driven to provide exceptional customer service, putting the customer at the heart of everything we do.
• Demonstrate flexibility, as appointments may require you to be away from home throughout the working week, driving all types of vehicles at any of our locations. These appointments may change with limited notice, in line with business or operational needs.
1 year of previous Cat C+E (Class 1) HGV Hiab driving experience is required.
