PERM HGV 2 Driver

Streamline Recruitment are on the look for HGV Class 2 drivers on a permanent basis for our client based in Witham.

Job Details/Main duties:

  • As mentioned above, you will be based out of Witham, reporting to the Logistics and senior fleet manager
  • Monday to Friday rota
  • Start times: Roughly 6am start, and a 55 hour week (However the client does require you to be flexible due to the nature and needs of the business)
  • Up to 3 nights out a week, will be required!
  • Driving commercial vehicles for purpose of collecting and delivering freight (Ranging from 7.5 tonners to 26 tonners) 
  • Multi Drop/Pickup 
  • Some Tail lift deliveries and collections as well as some manual handling when needed (kerbside) 
  • Ensuring that all loads are checked for discrepancies, (damage/shortages etc) and are safely loaded and secured on the vehicle. Must be reported immediately if different. 
  • Daily maintenance checks on the vehicle you have been assigned to 
  • Ensuring that all records pertaining to the role (Tacho’s, Time sheets, Trip sheets, Receipts etc) are kept in a orderly fashion & handed in in a timely and appropriate manner. 
  • Includes deliveries in all areas of London (accessible for HGVs) when required. 

    • Requirements:

  • Valid Tacho, CPC and driving licence is essential
  • Minimum of 2 years HGV driving required
  • Groupage/Logistics experience is essential

    • Payment:

  • Annual Salary - £32,760
  • Discretionary bonus scheme is in place. If drivers adhere to rules for this scheme 100% it can be up to approx. £533 extra per month
