Class 2 Drivers

Driver Hire Edinburgh City is excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced Class 2 Driver to work with our client on an ongoing basis, potentially leading to a permanent position for the right candidate.

Requirements:

  • Licence : Class 2 (Cat C) HGV Licence
  • CPC & Digi Tacho Cards : Valid and up-to-date
  • Licence Points : Less than 6 points; no endorsements over 3 points
  • Physical Fitness : Capable of heavy lifting
  • Experience : Minimum of one year holding the licence and at least 60 days of commercial driving experience in the last six months

    • Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine vehicle checks
  • Deliver to commercial and residential properties in local and surrounding areas
  • Complete relevant paperwork
  • Work with an assisting porter for heavy lifting
  • Adhere to Health & Safety rules at all times

    • Pay & Benefits:

  • Weekdays (Mon-Fri) : £13.50 PAYE per hour
  • Saturday : £20.25 PAYE per hour
  • Sunday : £27.00 PAYE per hour
  • Overtime (after 8 hours) : £20.25 PAYE per hour
  • Shifts : Start times at 7 am and 11 am
  • Minimum Pay : 8 hours guaranteed pay per day
  • Schedule : Ad-hoc shifts, ideal for fitting around other commitments
  • Payment : Weekly
  • Holiday : Accrual with every shift
