LGV Cat C1 (7.5 Tonne) Driver, Grays

We are The Best Connection , and we are currently recruiting 7.5t drivers to join our clients existing transport team. This is a fantastic opportunity to get your foot in the door with one of the UK’s largest white good supplier. Full time positions with the company are available.

Shifts available: Day shifts available, 5 days in 6 (Monday to Saturday) . Start times of 6am . Every Sunday off.

You and a drivers mate will be tasked with the delivery of white goods into customer homes. As you are the final part in the sales chain you will need to be able to give good customer service while on site. Some of the items will be heavy so a good level of physical fitness is required.

You will be paired with an experienced driver's mate when you start giving you opportunity to learn systems and procedures correctly.

Pay rate for this role is £15 per hour paid weekly, with an overtime rate of £22.50 after 8 hours a day.

Responsibilities:

  • Checking vehicle daily and ensuring it is kept clean and tidy
  • Informing Traffic Office of any delays lasting more than 30 minutes
  • Wearing provided uniform at all times
  • Keeping load safe and secure at all times
  • Looking after and preventing damage to, or theft of customers goods or company property

    • To be eligible for this position, you must have:

  • C1 Drivers Licence
  • CPC
  • Digicard
  • No more than 6 points
