Are you a skilled driver with a passion for cars and delivering exceptional customer service? Steer Automotive Group, a leading company in the automotive repair industry, is looking for a Valetor/ Driver to join our team at our sites in Ayr.

About the Role:
As a Valetor/ Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that customer vehicles are well-maintained and delivered safely. Your responsibilities will include:
Driver Duties :
Collecting vehicles from customers and transporting them to our repair site.
Delivering repaired vehicles back to customers promptly and safely.
Providing excellent customer service throughout the entire process.
Ensuring legal compliance under the Road Traffic Act.
Supporting other sites when needed to cover absences.
Valeting Duties :
Washing, polishing, and vacuuming vehicles to ensure they are in pristine condition for customer handovers.
Detailing vehicles with close attention to quality standards.
Carrying out minor maintenance tasks such as checking fluid levels and tire pressures.
Managing cleaning supplies and stock, reporting any shortages.
About You:
To excel in this role, you should have:
Driving Experience : Prior experience in a commercial driving role, ideally as a vehicle recovery driver.
Valeting Experience : Experience in a valeting or vehicle preparation role is preferred but not essential.
Attention to Detail : A keen eye for detail to ensure vehicles meet high standards.
Customer Service Skills : A friendly and professional approach to working with customers.
Organisational Skills : The ability to manage your time effectively and adapt to changing tasks.
Team Player : A collaborative attitude, with the ability to work independently when required.
Flexibility : Willingness to support other sites and adapt to different work priorities.
Driving Licence : A valid, clean UK driving licence and be over 21 (due to insurance requirements).
