Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: 4 on 4 off, 7AM - 7PM
Location: Prudhoe - NE42 6PL

DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a Transport Supervisor / FLM to play a vital role coordinating our daily logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain supervisory practices and a demonstrative understanding of warehouse procedures, including storing goods, dispatching orders and tracking transportation vehicles.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

  • Responsible for the timely delivery of network plans, ensuring load fill and utilisation KPI's are met
  • The role is critical in ensuring continuous improvement of the transport network, driving up customer satisfaction and improving the cost effectiveness of transport.
  • Interrogation, allocation and assignment of work via TMS/CFX/Quintiq. to provide management information and carry out analysis as required

  • Previous and practical experience within a Transport Operation is essential
  • This role IS suitable for an experience Transport Coordinator or equivalent to progress into
  • Computer literate with a practical knowledge of logistics software packages is essential
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to supervise, organise and train direct reports
