Steel Mill Operative

A long established heavy manufacturing Company based in Birmingham require two Machine Operatives for their state of the art casting and rolling business.

Annual Salary: £29,000 plus £3,000 guaranteed production bonus
Weekly Shifts: 6am to 2pm / 2pm to 10pm / 10pm to 6am

Job Role:

  • Loading coils onto machines using overhead cranes and FLT
  • Following written instructions, recording process details,
  • Using automated controls to process the material,
  • Inspect coils for quality and basic computer usage.
  • The successful candidate will have a proven track record in working in an industrial environment and using one's own initiative.
  • Fork Lift counterbalance truck licence preferred but not essential
