If you take up this role of Electrical Maintenance Technician, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our pumping stations, reservoirs, and treatment sites functioning properly to provide clean water to our customers. Reliable access to clean drinking water is crucial for our communities.
You’ll need to have achieved at least a Level 3 NVQ Diploma Electrical qualification. You’re a skilled electrician that has gained skills from a background in either domestic, industrial or commercial work.
Your expertise will be developed and used to maintain and install electrical systems and equipment such as control panels, pumps, motors, water quality analysers, and chemical dosing equipment. Additionally, you’ll respond to breakdowns, oversee the work of contractors, and perform necessary repairs and enhancements.

It's 37 hours working week which is usually 7.30 a.m. to 15.30 p.m., Monday to Friday. We are an essential service which means we’ll need you to participate in 1 out of every 5 standby shifts to promptly address incidents outside of regular working hours and on weekends.
As a skilled electrical maintenance person, you’ll can expect a generous base salary within the range of £40,000 to £46,043, in line with your level of experience and our salary progression structure. Additionally, a yearly allowance averaging £2,000 is provided for participation in the standby rota. Furthermore, overtime pay is offered for any call outs while on standby duty.
