The Best Connection (Newcastle) are currently recruiting for a Counter Balance FLT Operative to work for our client based in Dunston, Gateshead. Our client is one of the UK’s largest specialist merchant of trade and building related products and services.

This role is temp to perm for the right candidate.

The role:

  • Operating Counter Balance FLT to perform standard warehouse tasks
  • Loading and unloading vehicles, picking stock and general house keeping
  • This role will involve handballing, so manual handling activities such as (but not limited to) pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying will be required
  • Navigating through small spaces and tight areas
  • Abide to company Health and Safety policies

    • The candidate:

  • A valid and in date Counter Balance FLT licence (not in-house) is essential
  • A valid and in date Reach FLT licence (not in-house) is an advantage
  • Physically fit as the role will involve manual handling
  • Able to work under own initiative or part of a team
  • Flexible outlook as working hours can vary slightly

    • Hours of work:

  • Monday to Friday
  • 8:00am - 17:00pm
  • £11.44 per hour
