HGV Driver, Northallerton

The Best Connection are working with our client in Northallerton who are are prestigious transport company. They have a requirement for LGV C+E (HGV Class 1) Tramper Drivers .

These postions are offered on an ongoing temporary basis.

The role:

  • Operate a Class 1 vehicle to specific area making deliveries, product pick up etc. Completing deliveries as per job sheet and Tramping out.
  • Complete pre and post operation vehicle checks in line with company policies - reporting any defects.
  • Follow assigned delivery schedule and liaise with transport team regarding progess, issues etc.
  • Loads are either steel, or general haulage, with majority of deliveries unloaded at site by FLT.

    • The Candidate:

  • Valid and in date LGV C+E (Class 1) Driver
  • Minimum of 6 months commercial driving experience
  • Must have clean licence with no DD, DR, IND10 convictions
  • Valid and indate CPC & Digi Card
  • Flexible attitude to work

    • Hours of work:

  • 6am shift start for first day at depot in Northallerton
  • Monday to Friday - running back in on Friday

    • Pay Rate:

  • £13.00 per hour (PAYE) flat rate for all hours worked
  • £20 per night night out allowance
