What you'll do


As the Financial Control Manager at Sainsbury's Bank, you will lead a team in delivering end-to-end financial processes for products and services, ensuring balance sheet reconciliation and substantiation. You will drive changes to finance processes resulting from projects, focusing on robust requirement definition, risk and control assessments, testing, and implementation. Your responsibilities will include reviewing accounting processes and controls, designing and delivering improvement opportunities, managing actual issues or risk events within the team, acting as the primary point of contact for internal and external audits, and developing the accounting and control awareness knowledge of team members. Additionally, you will deputise for the Head of Financial Control and uphold the Colleague Conduct Rules specified by regulators.

Who you are


As a Financial Control Manager at Sainsbury's Bank, you are a qualified accountant with over three years of post-qualification experience, demonstrating a strong understanding of financial services control environments and end-to-end business processes. With your expertise in change management, risk management, and control design, you excel in managing a team to deliver efficient financial processes, implement key projects, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Your excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate with stakeholders enable you to ensure compliance, mitigate risks, and enhance financial operations for Sainsbury's Bank and Argos Financial Services.
