Yard Operative / Forklift Driver

We are looking for a Yard Operative / Forklift Driver on a Temporary to Permanent Basis with an immediate start.

This role is working for a bespoke manufacturer in the Southminster supplying to the construction industry. Working within the Yard, the successful applicant will quickly become an integral part of the the business, picking orders, unloading and loading deliveries and supplying product to the factory for manufacture.

Once permanent the Yard Operative / Forklift Driver will be given the opportunity for further training and progression, including gaining new Forklift tickets.

The Duties of the Yard Operative / Forklift Driver ;

  • Loading and unloading lorries
  • Picking and supplying product for manufacturer
  • Unloading finished product from machinery
  • Undertaking manual work as well as use of the Forklift
  • Working to health and safety standards

    • The Ideal Yard Operative / Forklift Driver ;

  • Previous experience in Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain and Manufacturing
  • A current Counterbalance Forklift Ticket
  • Own Transport and UK Driving licence required
  • Experience with sideloader driving would be a distinct advantage
  • Available to start work straight away
  • Looking for permanent work

    £ (rising to £14ph once permanent)
