About Us:

At Autism Pathways, we have years of experience in providing high-quality care and accommodation for individuals requiring additional support. Our modern, spacious, self-contained residential and supported living accommodations are designed with added features that prioritize safety, empowering residents to have greater choice, control, and independence in their daily lives.

The Role:

Autism Pathways is currently seeking knowledgeable and confident support workers to join our innovative adult autism support service, which launched in October 2023. This is a unique opportunity to apply your specialist experience in a highly individualized setting. You'll work in a 2:1 or 3:1 service model with each resident, following structured activity programs tailored to their needs. Our living spaces are designed for safety, creating a supportive environment for both residents and staff.

Autism Pathways employees enjoy a range of benefits:

  • Flexible pay* - choose when you are paid, and get money management tips too
  • Specialist training - on-going face-to-face training, tailored to you
  • Career opportunities - The chance to ‘make your mark’ and play a key role
  • Pension scheme - helping you plan for your retirement
  • Discounts on the high street* - with retailers like Asda, Costa and Argos
  • Refer-a-Friend - and get a £250 bonus
  • Free wellbeing programme - helping you look after your physical and mental health
  • Employee recognition scheme - we recognise and reward great work

The Service:

Located in the heart of Birkenhead, our state-of-the-art facility includes three specially adapted bungalows, offering private and tailored accommodations to individuals with complex needs and behaviours. We are passionate about supporting those who have struggled to find the right environment and providing them with the best opportunity for success.

  • Each resident has their own private accommodation, including a bedroom, living area, kitchen, bathroom, and garden
  • The facility is equipped with safety features such as reinforced furniture, high-tech medical monitoring where required, and separate staff areas to ensure privacy and independence for residents

Role Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar setting (working with adults with Autism, learning disabilities, complex behavioural needs, or elderly care) is preferred but not essential
  • Currently hold or be willing to complete a Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends, based on the needs of our residents
  • We are looking for calm, confident individuals with a positive understanding and attitude towards managing complex and challenging behaviours

If you're passionate about providing exceptional care and support, we'd love to hear from you!
