Key accountabilities & responsibilities

As a Senior Software Developer within the Virtual Build & Test Domain, you will develop software to support our engineering teams. As well as lead and mentor other software developers and be part of the Engineering Operations Organisation which is JLR’s centre of excellence for digital vehicle engineering.

Further duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Embrace the responsibility of maintaining and supporting our essential business systems

• Collaborate across various functions, to deliver premium software solutions and outcomes for our customers, ensuring the highest standards of quality and performance.

• Apply your technical expertise to help shape the future of the JLR, contributing to our progressive vision through innovative software development and integration.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Essential:
• Experience in programming languages professionally such as Java, Python, JavaScript, C++, or MATLAB
• Experience with database technologies (SQL and NoSQL) and data modelling
• Familiarity with version control tools, preferably Git
• Ability to lead and mentor junior software developers
• Excellent communicator, that communicates and constructively challenges in both technical and non-technical contexts to a diverse audience
