Our client is looking for a Fire and Security Installation Engineer to deliver high quality contracts to a range of commercial clients. They have worked for clients such as Lidl, Argos, Bentley, Coca Cola, Ferrari & Gordon Ramsey, they have continued to use their services based on their consistency, price and approach to quality. They are looking for an experienced engineer to join their team in Birmingham to cover works across the Midlands.
Fire and Security Engineer Position Overview
Installing and configuring equipment such as fire alarm panels, smoke detectors, security cameras, and access control panels.
Performing routine maintenance tasks, inspections, and tests on fire and security systems.
Troubleshooting issues with systems and performing necessary repairs or replacements.
Interacting with clients to understand their needs and provide guidance on system usage.
Maintaining accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and codes.
Fire and Security Engineer Position Requirements
Knowledge of, and training in, security systems including Paxton, Honeywell, Texecom, Bosch, Hikvision (desirable).
Track record of installation, commissioning and repair of intruder alarm, CCTV, access control, fire alarm, and audio and door entry systems; including service visits.
Proven delivery across the project life cycle to manage scope of works, drawings, installations, test and commissioning, and client handover.
Ability to produce high quality commissioning and handover documentation to meet quality and client satisfaction standards.
5 years min experience incl. adhering to British, NSI (NACOSS), and BAFE standards.
Valid ECS Card, IPAF and PASMA are preferred but not essential.
Working at heights.
Full UK driving licence.
