Senior e-commerce Trading Manager

London, England, gb

Job Description

Senior eCommerce Manager

Intro

We offer flexible working, part-time in our lovely London office (featuring all the essentials - fancy drinks fridge, striped walls, and furry friends in abundance) alongside remote working from home, depending on business requirements. We’re also a certified Great Place to Work, proud to be a B Corp and a certified London Living Wage employer.

Don’t know Dock & Bay? You’re missing out, because we’re great (and humble). Here’s a quick intro:

Our founders, Andy (Head Poncho) and Ben (Towel Wizard of Oz) started Dock & Bay back in 2015, after sharing the same struggle of standard towels being too bulky for their backpacks while travelling. It’s a hard-knock life, eh?

Following some intense brainstorming - that means pulling down a big red curtain and sticking pieces of white paper to it to create our now iconic stripes - D&B’s quick dry, 100% recycled wonders were born.

Fast forward 8 years and Dock & Bay have become a certified B Corp, with over 100 products in 8 categories, selling in the UK, Australia, the US, Canada and Europe. Our mission is to make the world brighter, and we need your help (if you fit the job description, obviously).

THE ROLE IN A NUTSHELL

Reporting to the Head of eCommerce & Marketing, the Senior eCommerce Manager is responsible for managing website projects from start to finish, tracking performance and investigating issues. Working collaboratively with other central teams, you’ll also get to play a key role in shaping the future of our infrastructure and processes across our current websites.

Working across retail, wholesale and marketplace websites, you’ll be responsible for all markets (UK, US, AU, CA, EU), reporting and growing core metrics such as AOV, Conversion Rate & Units Per Transaction.

  • Onsite Testing & CRO – Lead all onsite testing and conversion rate optimisation (CRO) projects, from A/B and multivariate testing to new app integrations.

  • Website & Content Management – Oversee the implementation of content updates, promotions, product launches, and pricing changes, ensuring seamless execution through the team.

  • Customer Experience & Branding – Own the customer journey, ensuring visual identity, messaging, and UX align with brand marketing across all eCommerce touchpoints.

  • Promotions & Merchandising – Manage onsite promotions, testing discount strategies while balancing margin impact. Optimise site merchandising, including navigation, category pages, internal search, upsells, and product recommendations.

  • Key Trading Periods – Lead the execution of major sales events (e.g., Black Friday, January Sale), ensuring the website is optimised for peak performance.

  • Stock & Profitability – Work closely with operations and inventory management teams to merchandise the site effectively, maximising profitability and revenue opportunities.

  • Product Data & Marketplaces – Own product catalogue data across all channels (retail, wholesale, marketplaces) to ensure accuracy and consistency. Manage marketplace storefronts (Amazon, Zalando, etc.) and product feeds.

  • Team Leadership – Manage and mentor direct reports within the eCommerce team, fostering a high-performance culture.
