Are you a qualified Speech & Language Therapist looking for the next step in your career? Are you looking to become a specialist / further your experience working with adults with progressive problems?
We are looking for an experienced Speech & Language Therapist to join our team developing an exciting new role specialising in the management of clients with Parkinsons Disease.
You will hold your own caseload which will be diverse in the progressive problems you will manage including Parkinsons, dementia, MND, stroke etc. You will be community based and will have a mix of regular clinics, outpatients, care home and residential visits where you will assess, treat and review clients.
You will coordinate 1:1 therapy blocks of Lee Silverman Voice Technique (LSVT) and other evidence-based therapies. Additionally, you will work with other members of the SLT team to deliver, evaluate and improve our already established course for groups of clients with PD and their families.
We pride ourselves on the development of our team and can offer a range of both internal and external qualifications and courses ie VF training with collaboration from our acute trust and LSVT training. We are in the process of developing a FEES service in the community and excited about this new venture.
The service operates 9 – 5 Monday to Friday and we can offer flexibility within this. We are open to both full and part time applicants.
