LGV Cat C1 (7.5 Tonne) Driver, Barking

The Best Connection are currently looking for multiple Cat C1 7.5t drivers on behalf of our client, in the Barking area.

You will be tasked with business to business delivery of mid to high end office furniture products to companies in the south east corner.

As the van driver, you will be presented with a loaded vehicle and given time in the morning to perform your vehicle checks, Load and get on the road. You will be tasked with not only completing the deliveries but also assisting with and completing installs in the customers property. You will be given full training on this and have an experienced drivers mate with you to help.

You will be expected to have a good grasp of the English language as for some of the deliveries, communication will be vital. Any difficulties with deliveries will need to be reported to base as well to help you overcome or avoid them. This will also allow you give the high level of customer service required.

Working hours are set to be 8.30-17:00. Any hours past 17:00 will be paid at time and a half. This is generally a Monday to Friday position, Ideal for those trying to find a healthy work/life balance! There will be some weekends that will need to be done however this is not the norm. If you do work at the weekends this is paid at time and a half on Saturday and double time for Sundays and Bank Holidays

Pay rate for this position £14.50 per hour PAYE rising to £15 per hour upon completion of your successful trial period.

To be eligible for this position you must hold:

  • Cat C1 7.5t Driving licence
  • Digital Tachograph Card
  • CPC
