Role and Responsibilities: As a Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist, you will be responsible for:
Conducting detailed assessments of speech, language, and communication needs in children.
Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each child’s needs.
Providing direct therapy and support to children and their families.
Collaborating with parents, caregivers, teachers, and other professionals to support the child’s progress.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of client progress and treatment outcomes.
Participating in service development and quality improvement initiatives.
Traveling to community sites, including schools, homes, and clinics, to deliver services.
Essential Criteria: To be considered for this role, you must have:
A degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent.
Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Experience working with children with speech, language, and communication needs.
Strong assessment, treatment planning, and intervention skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
A valid driver’s license and access to a car, as the role involves visiting various community sites.
Desirable Criteria:
Experience with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems.
Proficiency in managing complex cases and working with children with severe communication difficulties.
Requirements:
Valid and active NMC Registration.
Minimum of 6 months demonstrated experience as a Registered Nurse with medical proficiency.
Excellent understanding of medical terminology and procedures.
Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
Empathetic, compassionate, and committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
Capable of thriving in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
Attention to detail and ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
