LGV Driver – Ballymena

We are recruiting an LGV Driver to join our team in Ballymena

Provide general driving support to Operational Services to ensure that all refuse is removed from household, industrial and commercial premises such as houses,shops, schools, business premises for appropriate disposal by working as part of a small team.

Responsible for any vehicle, equipment, passengers etc. allocated for the purpose of waste collection, cleansing, recycling or other appropriate services.

Job duties:

Carry out pre-use checks before driving any vehicle, completing and returning a vehicle pre-use check report to the postholder’s line manager as instructed

Ensure on-board systems including weighing, safety devices, in-cab devices, telematics and communication systems are fully operational and used in accordance with operation procedures

Carry out daily cleaning and routine checks of vehicles and components, including the cleaning and operation of any fitted power mechanism.

At the beginning and end of shift, ensure the vehicle has fuel, oil and water as required and is safe for the road,

The successful candidate must have

Valid Category C Driving Licence, Valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) card A minimum of two years’ continuous LGV driving experience. Any penalty points active on the driving license must be declared along with the relevant code, these will then be assessed for relevance to the duties of the post.
