Driver Management Trainee

  • Ensure effective implementation of the Company Health and Safety Policy.
  • Comply with all statutory health and safety obligations as outlined in the Arriva HS&E Management System.
  • Ensure the site team delivers exceptional service in line with stakeholder requirements, company policies, and procedures.
  • Foster business relationships crucial to local performance and collaborate with Local Authorities.
  • Ensure timely and thorough responses to customer complaints, taking appropriate actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain secure management and storage of lost property.
  • Promote Arriva’s values and support an organisational culture of Equality, Diversity, & Inclusion (ED&I).
  • Collaborate with the Site Manager to ensure the site has adequate resources, capability, and competence.
  • Motivate and engage site teams to achieve high performance and effective collaboration.
  • Forge strong working relationships with key stakeholders, including the Trade Union.
  • Support the delivery of outstanding service and operational compliance.
  • Work with the commercial team to continuously review networks and customer feedback.
  • Utilize business performance management tools to drive personal and team accountability for business success.
  • Assist in the development of the site’s annual budget and business plan.
  • Focus on maximizing revenue and controlling operating costs.
  • Continuously review financial performance against budget and recommend actions to address any shortfalls.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to processes and systems.
  • Act as a Change Agent and Value Creator, driving operational excellence through innovation.
  • Uphold and promote the reputation and values of Arriva in all business relationships and activities.
  • Commitment to working towards becoming the Site Accountable Manager.
