Who we are looking for : A female Support Worker to support a lady with a learning disability and Fragile X Syndrome. Driver Preferable and must be able to swim. Part time and full time hours are available. What support is required : 
  • Administering medication
  • Accessing the community and activities, going out on day trips (these will involve travelling further afield)
  • Going to concerts and pantomime's
  • Going swimming and full support in the swimming pool
  • Support and prompting with personal care
  • Maintaining daily routines
  • Preparation of meals
  • Arts and crafts
  • Baking
  • Activities with letters and numbers 
  • Singing and music
    • What kind of personality are we looking for :
  • An energetic person who has a good sense of humour and can be creative to make each day fun. This person also needs to be able to be calm and relaxed, and have a lot of patience.
  •  A person who has good communication skills , and will show respect for people's home and their belongings.
  • Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities is essential.
    • *All roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check and suitable references. * Due to the nature of this service, we are looking for female only applicants. This post is exempt under the Equality Act , Schedule 9, Part 1. Job ID
