LGV Cat C+E (Class 1) Driver, Newport

Due to expanding operations, our client is recruiting for a Class 1 HGV driver to join their team. This is an adhoc based role with start times from 5pm onwards. The role involves night trunk runs with no handballing and the location is easily accessible.

As a Class 1 HGV driver, you will be responsible for night trunk runs, ensuring timely and efficient transportation of goods. You will adhere to safety regulations, maintain vehicle cleanliness, and provide excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely operate a Class 1 HGV vehicle for store deliveries.
Follow assigned routes and schedules for efficient transportation.
️ Adhere to all relevant safety regulations and guidelines.
Maintain cleanliness and perform basic vehicle checks.
Provide friendly and professional customer service during deliveries.

Requirements:

Valid Class 1 HGV license.
CPC qualification and digital tachograph card.
Previous experience in store deliveries is desirable.
Good knowledge of road safety regulations and driving best practices.
Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
