Multi-Modal Operations Coordinator – Aberdeen

This freight forwarding business is looking for a Multi-modal Freight Coordinator to join their growing team in Aberdeen, UK

As Multi-modal Freight Coordinator, you will be tasked to complete the start-to-finish process for all of the company’s customers for all their freight needs.

Job type: Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday – 08:30am to 17:30pm

Salary: Depending on experience – Open criteria for right individual

Pension scheme: Employee and Employer contributions

Holidays: Entitled to 28 days holiday each calendar year, inclusive of public holidays

Description and requirements for the position of Operations Coordinator:-

  • Working as an Operations (Import/Export) Coordinator for a UK based freight operation
  • Essential customs clearance process knowledge required. Preparing declarations via CDS. Candidate must have at least 1 years’ customs clearance experience in a similar role
  • Require to be a fully multi-modal freight forwarder – arranging import and export shipments via air, courier, land, and sea
  • Preparing and processing freight quotations- (Import / export)
  • Experienced in completing job file administration in a professional and timely manner from opening the file and processing the job through to issuing the final sales invoice
  • Responsible for controlling shipment progress and keeping clients fully updated on status
  • Working within an office-based freight & customs operation’s team
  • Job role requires a high attention to detail, positive attitude and mindset, strong organisation, and time management skills.
  • There will be considerable interaction, via phone, email and in person, with clients, suppliers, and colleagues.
  • Confident and able to work to deadlines within a fast-paced work environment.
  • Completing and managing the organisation of collections and deliveries – Door-to-door
  • Customs Control Checks of documentation -occasionally supporting the Freight Forwarding and Customs Manager with MSS reviews, Bill of Discharge reviews etc.,
  • MultiFreight is the freight operating and invoicing software system, so must be comfortable using Multifreight or similar IT systems – Previous experience in working with Multifreight would be advantageous, but not a necessity as training will be provided.
