Business Development Manager required for an international packaging equipment manufacturer based in Taplow however the territory for this position will be the north of the UK, Manchester & Surrounding areas. The successful candidate will have a strong business development background ideally within a similar industry (Ideally protective packaging, courier, or logistics background.



Business Development Manager - Protective Packaging Position Overview

Create & implement a business plan for allocated territory to always maximise sales & deliver excellent standards of customer service & support.

  • identifying new business opportunities.
  • Maintain strong sales administration including use of CRM to follow up all leads, enquiries/quotes
  • Work closely with the site's internal teams.
  • Adopt a consultative approach with Customers in tailoring appropriate solutions to meet needs whilst developing/maintaining a strong knowledge of all packaging solutions and full product range
  • Reports to Sales Manager.
  • Cold call as appropriate within your geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities
  • Meet potential Customers growing your network
  • Identify potential Customers, and the decision makers within client companies
  • Plan approaches, sales presentations, and pitches
  • Meet yearly and monthly sales targets assigned to you

  • Experienced Sales/Business Development professional
  • Good communication skills, attendance and time keeping
  • Ability to work alone and manage one's own schedule
  • Good organisational and self-motivational skills
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Efficient in Word, Excell & CRM
  • Efficient in Sales demonstrations & Presentation
  • Knowledge of Packaging, Courier or Distribution sector would be advantageous

    Salary circa £35k with an uncapped commission structure for all new business.
