Yard Operative

Pertemps are currently recruiting for Yard Operative for a client based in Cardiff. This role is temporary ongoing position with both full time and Ad-hoc positions available.

Pay Rate: £12.50 per hour.
Shifts: 08:00 - 16:00

As a Yard Operative, your duties will include:

  • Remove plastic storage bags from containers.
  • Empty the contents and secure in storage areas.
  • Move contents into Recycling and compactor skips.
  • Store each part in relevant bins.
  • Loaded and unloading containers.
  • Ensure all health and safety briefings are adhered to.
  • Reporting any mishaps, near misses to relevant parties
  • This is physically demanding role, and the applicant must be physically fit and able to lift heavy loads.


    • The successful candidate for the Yard Operative role will also need the following skills:
  • Experience within a fast-paced yard environment.
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to solve problems.
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines.
  • Forklift Licence is desirable.
