Forklift Driver/Warehouse Operative/ Church Stretton, Shropshire / up to £12.50 per hour


We are currently recruiting for a Forklift Driver/Warehouse Operative with a current FLT licence to join our client , a leading Life Sciences organisation based in Church Stretton. As a crucial member of their warehouse family, you'll be instrumental in ensuring the smooth functioning of daily operations.

Responsibilities:
Forklift Truck Operations

  • Safely operate forklift trucks to move goods within the warehouse premises.
  • Handle deliveries and waste collections on-site using the forklift.
  • Transfer raw materials and other stock items to containers needed for production.
  • Adhere to safety protocols while operating the forklift.

    • Inventory Management

  • Conduct regular stock counts, with a focus on solvents.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to suggest orders based on stock levels and available space.
  • Perform cycle counting of raw materials for accurate inventory records.
  • Work closely with the materials team to ensure all delivery paperwork is provided for checking.

    • Warehouse Organisation and Maintenance

  • Organise and maintain storage spaces for raw materials and waste.
  • Keep the warehouse clean, tidy, and well-organised.
  • Ensure good stock levels of consumables used in production.

    • Ideal Person

  • Valid forklift driving license or certification. (Counterbalance)
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Safety-conscious mindset - Work carefully according to Health & Safety and Quality (ISO9001:2015) guidelines.
  • Knowledge of SAP is a strong plus - but not essential.

    • This role is an 18 month Temporary contract
    37.5 hours per week, 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday
